Title: Senior Accountant
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required along with 2 – 6 years of accounting experience. The ability to write procedures and organize tasks along with a progressive accounting history that includes skills in general ledger management, inventory reconciliation and profit/loss statements and balance sheets. Good understanding of US GAAP; QuickBooks and/or Dynamics AX experience a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To support the Accounting Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting Department. To “own” the Subsidiary financial statements and reporting, including maintaining the accounting relationship between Subsidiary and Life Spine.
- General Ledger Maintenance and prepare journal entries.
- Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, as well as prepare financial statements.
- Audit all expense reports for proper receipts/documentation, as well as Sunshine Act reporting.
- Prepare all journal entries and financial statements for Subsidiary. Reconcile payables and receivables between Life Spine and Subsidiary.
- Assist with monthly financial statement analysis of revenues and expenses on monthly basis.
- Serve as a backup to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
- Assist with preparation of external audit documentation.
- Strong inventory management and variance analysis experience.
- Prepare and file compliance tax filings.
- Prepares correspondence and participates in special department projects.
Physical Demands: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
